FORMER TIGER'S CAPTAIN COMMITS

The Vermilion Jr. Tigers Hockey Club is pleased to announce the following Commitment of a former Captain to the MacEwan College GRIFFINS for the 2008/2009 season.

The GRIFFINS Men's Hockey Program is proud to introduce the commitment of Derrick Martin to the 2008 ACAC Silver Medal Hockey club. Derrick is a smooth skating, hard working defenseman. He has a great shot from the point and has an offensive touch. He weighs in at 5' 11" and 190 lbs. Derrick spent the last two years playing Sr. AAA in Lloydminster and Sr. A with the Vermilion Rock. Prior to that Derrick had a 4 year career as a Captain of the Vermilion Tigers Jr. Hockey Club where he won Team awards for Best Defenseman and most Dedicated.

Klym and Crooks off to Macewan

The Vermilion Jr. Tigers Hockey Club is pleased to announce the following Commitment of two players to the MacEwan College GRIFFINS for the 2008/2009 season:

Jesse Klym, Assistant Captain, Team Playoff MVP, Playoff Leading Scorer, 3rd yr. veteran.

Jared Crooks, Team Rookie of the year, Team Regular Season Scoring Champion.

The GRIFFINS are the 2008 ACAC Silver Medalists and the 2004 ACAC Gold Medal League Champions and CCAA National Champions.

Both Jesse and Jared are excited about the opportunity to further their studies while competing at the College level.

GRIFFINS Head coach Jamie Langley says, "To be able to add players with the Character and playing skills of Jesse and Jared, are hard to find, especially from the same team. I look forward to Jesse and Jared competing with and against our returning players."
